The staff, parents, and community will be committed to provide successful educational experiences which will enable the students to become productive members of society.

    The vision of Garza-Peña Elementary is to provide an education that will ensure successful learning among students. The Garza-Peña students will be responsible individuals that will show respect and concern for one another. The teachers and staff will provide a quality instructional program implementing successful strategies and demonstrating leadership. The parents and community will be actively involved to insure student success and responsibility. A positive school environment will contribute to every students' success at Garza-Peña Elementary.

    At Garza-Peña Elementary we believe that all students through nurturing, attention, and respect can learn and succeed. Teaching is a commitment that needs to be creative, motivating and rewarding. Education, the key to a successful future, is an ongoing process that must address the cognitive, affective and physical needs of all children. Effective schools should high expectations, display positive attitudes, and promote strong parental involvement. Learning is an on-going discovery process that must be meaningful and challenging. Parents, as the child's first teacher, need to be committed to and involved in the education of their children. A quality instructional program should be well-rounded, flexible and innovative.

  • Students: Start 8:00 AM - End 3:25 PM
    Teachers: Start 7:55 AM - End 4:10 PM
